Carstairs is a town in Central Alberta. It is located on the Highway 2A, 88 kilometers (54.5 miles) South of Red Deer, and 48 kilometres (30 miles) north of Calgary, the nearest major city.

Named after Carstairs, Scotland, Carstairs began life as a loading platform on the railway connecting Calgary to Edmonton. |
